- Operate all mechanized equipment, such as pickup trucks, rollers, tandem dump trucks, front-end loaders, or backhoes.
- Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.
- Perform a wide variety of manual labor tasks involving dexterous use of hand tools such as pneumatic, electric, and hand tools.
- Perform daily JSA (Job Safety Analysis) prior to any work beginning and discuss each task with the crew.
- Update or create a new JSA if a new unplanned task is to be performed during the shift.
- Manage and coach crew, throughout the shift, in order to meet goals set at the POD meeting.
- Seek feedback and ideas from crew members on ways to improve.
- Some knowledge of Residential Septic systems can be expected.
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
- Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
- Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
- Cut pipes to the required lengths.
- Install or repair sanitary or stormwater sewer structures or pipe systems.
- Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.
- Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisors.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
