**Accountant - Co-op - Jan 2024 (Assurance, Canadian Tax and US Tax)**

Smythe LLP welcomes students for **co-op **positions starting at our Vancouver, Langley and Nanaimo offices in **Jan 2024**.

During your co-op/Internship experience with Smythe, you will:

- Work closely with a dedicated coach to guide you in your professional development and individual career growth;
- Attain the knowledge to prepare corporate, personal, and other tax returns;
- Work directly with clients, including CEOs, CFOs, and directors to develop strong client relationships;
- Receive comprehensive training and support toward your academic and professional success; and
- Gain valuable skills and experiences to assist with reaching your full career potential.
- **Assurance students** will accomplish the proficiency to complete compilation, review, and audit engagements for publicly-listed and privately-held companies in a wide variety of industries, including technology, real estate, mining, hospitality, not-for-profits, and more;
- **Canadian Tax students** will accomplish the proficiency to prepare Canadian corporate, personal and other tax returns;
- **US Tax students** will Accomplish the proficiency to complete Canadian and US tax filings for individuals with cross-border business and personal dealings;
- Attain experience dealing with a wide range of cross-border personal and corporate tax issues and acquire invaluable experience in tax research, planning and advisory services;

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: $49,666.69-$56,006.02 per year
