Vaughan, Canada European Bakery Full time

Join our team at a European bakery/cafe in Woodbridge We are a small but mighty team at our family-owned business with an established client base and are looking for the right person to lead our baking.

Hiring for a Full-Time Position (5AM start), 2 days off per week. 1 weekend shift. Willingness to work more hours as necessary (Especially during peak/holiday seasons).

Some of what you'll do:

- Bake cakes, cookies, mousses and various individual desserts
- Design and decorate cakes, pastries, etc. to ensure they are visually appealing and of the highest quality.
- Collaborate with the team and owners to discuss ideas and work together to develop new and seasonal menu items (we love brainstorming and welcome new perspectives and ideas)
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Track and monitor inventory and work with management to order supplies as needed
- Occasional bread baking (just baking, no bread making required. Bread dough baking training to be provided)

What we're looking for:

- Proven experience as a baker or in a similar role.
- Open to students and/or new graduates from culinary programs who are able to confidently manage their production
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Creative and artistic skills for dessert presentation.
- Ability to work early mornings, and willingness to adapt based on business needs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Positive attitude and strong team work skills
- Legally able to work in Canada
