Production Goldsmith

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, experienced and collaborative goldsmith to start our team in the beaches of Toronto. Your focus will be on fabricating, polishing and working with castings. We design, print and cast our own pieces and you may be asked to help in the casting process from time to time. We are also looking for someone who can repair pieces efficiently. This is a hands-on role where it will be important to ensure every piece of art we create goes out with the highest level of pride in our work. We want you to create things you are proud of seeing people wear out in the wild.

**Duties**:

- Assemble and fabricate pieces according to design specifications
- Repair precious and semi-precious metal jewellery and other various items
- Resize rings, bracelets, and necklaces
- Set gemstones including diamonds in various mounts to spec.
- Polish and clean finished pieces
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Collaborate with designer to create custom pieces
- Maintain inventory of materials and consumables
- Assist with casting procedure on casting days

**Experience**:

- Must have 2-4 years of fine jewellery studio experience
- Must have working knowledge of silver, gold (18k/22k) and platinum.
- Must have basic jewellery studio safety knowledge.
- Proficiency in using an argon welder
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have experience setting with microscope
- Ability to speak Portuguese and French considered an asset

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

- Goldsmithing: 3 years (required)
