The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle support to our local and global HR initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, the HRBP will provide support and effective development and delivery of local HR programs for our Canadian operations. They will be a strong relationship manager with the ability to align business objectives with human resources best practices.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Employee Relations:

- Provides employee relations support to management and employees. Identifies and implements proactive solutions to employee relations issues. Mediates & provides coaching when applicable

Employee engagement:

- Conduct departure exit interview to identify initiatives that will help reduce turnover and increase engagement.
- Partner with Business leaders on employee survey results. Support the business on action planning and provide HR recommendations based on analyzed results.
- Partners with internal corporate partners (ex. Benefits, Talent Management Programs, HR Systems, Compensation, Staff Development and Leadership Development) to support the implementation of ad hoc initiatives to meet business objectives.

HR Strategic Initiatives:

- Champion Wellness and continue to provide oversight of the program.
- Partner with Senior HR Manager on building people manager capabilities, Talent Management, succession planning and driving industry leading onboarding and inclusion practices.

HR Analytics:

- Collaborate with District Administrators on all employee related administration
- Analyze data - retention, turnover, leave of absence etc.
- Provide Quarterly reporting on Headcount and turnovers
- Provide detail on trends and provide summaries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BA/BS in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent HR experience
- 5+ years experience as an HR Business Partner position
- Solid knowledge of Canadian employment law
- Self-motivated; action and result-oriented; able to multi-task and manage/drive multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented, organized. With strong prioritization, decision making and follow-up skills
- Professional judgment and critical thinking
