**Qualifications**:

- Current CMRITO registration as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS) required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as DMS required
- Experience, certification or training in adult education preferred
- Current CAMRT registration preferred
- Leadership education certificate or equivalent preferred

**Skill, Ability and Experience**:

- Five (5) years recent experience in various sonography examinations including interventional procedures required
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, including recent leadership training or education required
- Demonstrated commitment to Diagnostic Imaging Student success/training required
- Basic proficiency in the use of computers required
- Ability to lead within a team environment required
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, and work with mínimal supervision required
- Good organizational and people skills - interpersonal skills required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Demonstrated ability to fulfill role within Attendance Support Program parameters required
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodology (LEAN) required
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the position required
- Recent experience in a Leadership role preferred

**Principal Duties**:

- Responsible for coordinating the Student Program including developing student rotations, providing student evaluations and providing clinical direction to students
- Performs quality ultrasound examinations ensuring patient care and comfort are maintained at all times in accordance with established procedures
- Follows ergonomic safety standards and precautions
- Acts as a liaison with faculty at any partnering post-secondary Sonography programs
- Organizes education/training for Diagnostic Imaging Staff and Students.
- Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
- Maintains awareness of new legislation, standards of practice and changes to college training requirements
- Completes continuing education requirements as necessary
- Other related duties as assigned
