CNC Machinist

Our team at Westech Advanced Manufacturing Ltd. prides itself in manufacturing high quality precision components for various industries. Our machine shop is located 30 mins from Parry Sound Ontario. Our machine tools are exclusively Mazak's and Haas's. We are seeking an experienced motivated individual to fill a role as a Lead CNC Machinist.

**Application Requirements**:

- 5-10 years of professional experience in the trade.
- Must be able to commute to work reliably or relocate in order to do so.
- Ability to operate and understand both turning centers, mills.
- Ability to use Mazak Matrix 2 & Okuma controls and make offsets as required by the program.
- Using blueprint or process sheet, sets up jobs and operates one or more of a variety of multi
- axis CNC milling machines/tools.
- Ability to use metrology equipment including but not limited to, Calipers, Micrometers, bore gauges, height sticks, etc.
- Ability to set up machines for jobs by machining custom fixtures.
- Replace tooling if indeed broken or damaged.
- Produce parts in an efficient manner with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read English and interpret symbols on operation sheets.
- Must be motivated to produce quality parts
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, (runout, chatter, etc.)
- Must be able to work as a team player
- Must have good communication skills

**Schedule**:
Will be working day shift primarily, must work nights if production poses the need for it.

8 am to 5pm (9-hour Shift)

Monday to Friday

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
