**What You Will Do**
- Setup and operate total station and GPS instruments for precise lay-out and as-built capture of marine structures, including piles, concrete and steel structures.
- Demonstrate full knowledge of instrument parameters, including EDM settings and prism constants.
- Collect, organize, and record measurements and data to prepare drawings, charts, plans, and analysis of survey data and other construction documents.
- Utilize coordinate geometry expertise, and clear understanding of the relationship in the horizontal and vertical planes of Issued for construction drawings.
- Proficiently use setup survey instruments, for data collection, and leverage layout software to support construction process., Ensuring familiarity with Survey department storage, file formats, for further data processing and survey request closure.
- Monitor safety through our 5360 policy during survey work, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures, including participation in our digital safety platform eCompliance for completing job hazard analysis and safety observations to better the safe conditions of your work environment.
- Report or record all project details accurately in correspondence, including site status, progress updates, and suggested survey scope changes to construction process.
- Prepare reports using Excel and Civil3D presentations as required.
- Manage and clean up field data using Cloud Data presentation software when necessary.

**This role could be for you if you have**
- Minimum 5 years of construction surveying experience in civil/infrastructure construction projects;
- The ability to interpret and use information from maps, drawings and measurements taken in the field;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently on multiple survey tasks and assignments'
- Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D and other survey specific softwares;
- Experience with GPS technical support for marine machine control an asset;
- A Post-secondary degree or diploma in Geospatial or Geoscience studies or a technical engineering technician or related discipline is an asset.
- Adaptable and willing to work varying hours as the job requires.
