**PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION**
- **SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides support to special projects as assigned, including supporting new employees with their transition into the company.
- Assist with organizing and coordinating the training for new and current employees.
- Maintain and assist with developing training matrices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial health and safety regulations.
- Maintain training records and assign training as needed.
- Adhere to all the company’s policies and procedures.
- Interact and co-operate with all members of the organization, suppliers, clients, and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE**
- New entrants into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or are currently unemployed/underemployed.
- Have not previously participated in an NOHFC-funded internship.
- Reside and able to work legally in Canada.
- Must be bilingual in both French and English.
- Must possess a valid G-license in good standing with access to reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Health and Safety or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of pertinent health and safety laws and regulations.
- Able to work independently.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable multi-tasking, working under pressure and handling time constraints.
- Capacity to protect the confidentiality of information and records.
- Willingness to actively participate in ongoing professional growth while employed.
