**Commercial Specialist**

As the Commercial Specialist, you will be responsible for new client growth and expansion of the commercial portfolio through outbound prospecting, client contact, sales & service activities. You will play a key role in identifying prospects in business markets, servicing clients, determining risks and presenting customized insurance solutions.

What you’re responsible for:

- Receiving inbound & conducting outbound calls to prospect and proactively build a sales pipeline.
- Develop marketing plans to promote insurance offerings, and contributing to the achievement of sales, profitability, and growth goals.
- Complete risk assessments and commercial inspections in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Working with clients to review goals, providing risk management advice and recommendations for coverage, completing policy update, and documenting required changes.
- Conducting policy reviews to identify changing coverage requirements, responding to client inquiries, resolving complaints, and escalating issues as required.
- Participating in events to create brand awareness. Develop, maintain and cultivate community contacts to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.

Two compensation levels for Commercial Specialists are suggested, depending on experience and level of designation. Production expectations for these levels will also vary.
- Level 1- A developing commercial specialist who is working towards a designation & developing their commercial expertise and has either no experience, or 1-3 years of commercial insurance sales and service experience.
- Level 2- A fully competent, experienced commercial specialist who hold a financial services designation (CIP or FCIP preferred) and has more than 5 years of successful commercial sales and service experience, including building a commercial book of business.

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
