**Role Responsibilities**
- Conducting hydrology, water quality, fisheries and aquatic resources field programs on Vancouver Island and other remote locations
- Field data collection, entry, and organization
- Data management and analysis, including large, complex datasets
- Support the preparation of high quality technical reports and proposals
- Project coordination
- Work collaboratively under the mentorship and supervision of senior technical staff

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Technical diploma or degree related to environmental science, environmental engineering, physical geography, earth sciences, fisheries biology, or aquatic ecology
- 1+ years of relevant work experience
- Flexibility to travel for fieldwork
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage personal project workload and meet deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with water quality and hydrology field methods
- Experience with GIS, CAD, topographic surveying techniques, and/or RPAS (i.e. drone) equipment would be an asset
- Proficiency with R, Python or other applicable programming languages would be an asset
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia, the College of Applied Biology of British Columbia, Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia, or other relevant professional associations would be an asset
- Required certifications: Valid BC driver’s licence
- Preferred certifications: Swiftwater training, BC electrofishing certification, ATV/UTV/Argo Safe Operations certification, and/or CABIN field technician

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
