**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Graduate of a recognized Echocardiography program
- Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (ARDCS)
- Two years related clinical experience working as a Echocardiographer in the past five years in a similar hospital environment
- Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiograms on patients of all ages (adult, pediatric and infant)
- Demonstrated ability to perform transesophageal echocardiography at hospital sites that provide this service
- Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting professional practice standards as outlined by the American Registry of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers and related professional associations
- Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service
- Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving
- Working knowledge of computers
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
- Consistent and regular attendance required
