We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Store Guide to join our team at a local outdoor shop specializing in hiking gear and clothing. As a sales associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer experiences and promoting a love for outdoor activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the store.
- Listen attentively to customers' needs and provide expert advice and recommendations on gear to suit their specific needs.
- Assist customers in finding the right products.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing store layout, ensuring that products are well-displayed and easily accessible for customers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest outdoor trends, product knowledge, and industry developments to better assist customers with their purchases.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's point-of-sale system.
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall success of the store.

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect with customers effectively.
- Previous retail sales experience is an asset, but not necessary
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to various customer preferences and needs.
- Knowledge of outdoor gear and a passion for the outdoors is a definite asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and customer-focused attitude.
- Flexibility to work some Saturdays, we are always closed on Sundays.
