Sure, it sounds kinda cheesy. But it's also kinda true. We aren't talking about a tarp haphazardly thrown over a 1930s Studebaker. I mean event tents - marquees, clearspans, pole tents - of all kinds of premium event structures, flooring etc. Quality drives you, fun keeps you motivated.

Our Tent Crew Supervisor oversees all aspects of tent operations, from day-to-day installs and crew leadership, quality control, safety, inventory tracking, site surveys, utility locates, deadline management - the works Heck you might even be involved in the sales process because you are customer-focused and results-oriented.

We are hiring a Warehouse Supervisor; a full-time, permanent role, located in Banff Alberta. This role routinely works a flexible schedule, but hours can be from 8:30am-5pm thursday to monday, but allowing for changes depending on client needs

**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**:
The Tent Crew Supervisor is a hands-on position, leading and influencing the operations team members to provide top-notch product quality and customer service.

This includes team building, employee training and development, inventory control and care, efficient operations, product tracking and a healthy dose of problem-solving. Overseeing and being involved with pre-event operations - accurate order prepping, packing and shipping; then post-event receiving, cleaning, counting repackaging and storing items. The Tent Crew Supervisor assists the Operations Manager and the Management team to ensure a balance between financial profit, successful client experiences, successful team experiences, and a positive workplace culture. When not involved with a tent project, they help with general event operations, special projects and driving and event setup teardown.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Supervise onsite operations of tent sites and other event sites, this includes the warehouse from time to time
- Supervise duties and activities of the operations team and observe day-to-day operations and special projects
- Assist operations team with various challenges throughout the day
- Assist sales team with customer concerns by investigating and solving challenges
- Assist with scheduling team members and maintaining labour budgets
- Maintain strict inventory control and quality control of all products
- Ensure that equipment and machines are maintained and are in safe condition for operation
- Supervise the cleaning, handling, repair and refurbishing of inventory items
- Meet with members of the management team to discuss policies and challenges and successes, make recommendations and find solutions
- Communicate potential product issues and safety concerns
- Act in other event-related capacities, filling in for other positions when necessary either in our warehouse or onsite

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Routinely to lift and carry event edquipmwent (50+ lbs / 25+ kg)
- Ability to stand/walk/climb, use ladders and confidently work at height or other work platforms
- Ability to operate vehicles, including cars, trucks and ideally a small forklift
- Ability to load and unload inventory in and out of vehicles
- Keen visual skills to discern shapes and colours of inventory items. Able to identify imperfections in product quality (use of glasses/contact lenses is okay)
- Manual dexterity (for operating tools, handling fragile objects, etc.)
