We have an opening for 2 Summer Relief Operators to join our Terminals and Pipeline team in Edmonton The Relief Operator will work in the Edmonton Terminal operations loading railcars, completing equipment checks and terminal maintenance.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Ensures personal safety and follow safe operating procedures for facilities.
- Railcar loading and unloading.
- Maintains current safety training and certification.
- Learns and becomes familiar with and follow all Gibson’s EH&S manuals and policies.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards.
- Demonstrates competency and follow Operating Procedures.
- Completes general upkeep, routine and regularly scheduled maintenance of facilities.
- Reports problems to Supervisor.
- Performs maintenance and upkeep of vehicles.
- Performs routine building maintenance.
- Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

**What You'll Bring**
- Completion of High School Diploma.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge or experience in the petroleum industry would be an asset.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Exhibits to be a motivated team player, capable of managing several concurrent and varied projects.
- Works with external and internal customers in a courteous and timely manner.
- Self-directed and motivated for positive results.
- Willing to work in and contribute to a team environment.
- Satisfactorily demonstrate and maintain knowledge and ability competence (i.e. basic and area specific certifications) associated with developmental progression and responsibility areas.
- Safety conscious; work in a safe manner at all times.
- Carries out responsibilities with minimum supervision.

**Working Conditions**
- Required skills include the ability to lift, carry and pull up to 50 lbs, effectively work at heights, climb stairs and ladders frequently and walk for 50-60% of the shift which may include walking on uneven surfaces.
