With over 45 years of experience and continuous growth, our Expercom division is looking for Linemenfor the Peterborough/ Kawartha Lakes region.

**Position status**: This is a full-time position.

:
Working under the supervision of the Line Foreman or Field Supervisor at Expercom.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Read and interpret blueprints or job specifications to execute all work assigned safely and in accordance to Telecon’s health and safety policy
- Work outdoors in various conditions to place copper or fibre optic telecommunication cabels
- Climb poles, ladders and a variety of construction equipment to assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatus
- String cables between structures, manholes, from poles, towers, or trenches and ensure that all are to proper tension.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment
- Accurately record and report project progress to the appropriate supervisory person and communicate any issues or expected delays
- Performs other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
- High school diploma
- Valid Ontario driver’s license with clean driving record - a driver’s license with a Z endorsement will be required to operate expercom line vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to climb poles and work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet
- Able to complete the necessary training for working at heights and confined space, pass the corresponding examinations and receive a client authorization number
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team
