**Responsibilities**:
This position will provide coordination and leadership of health & safety training, prevention and supervision. As well as, the management of daily facilities requirements.
- Execute health and safety programs and promotes a high health & safety culture on the manufacturing floor
- Perform training activities, both in a classroom setting and on the manufacturing floor
- Responsible for delivering and facilitating a wide variety of courses including, Forklift, Overhead Crane, Lockout/Tagout etc.
- Maintain an active presence on the production floor to provide coaching, mentoring, and support for health & safety and facilities concerns
- Act as a first point of contact for employee’s H&S and facilities concerns
- Inspect workplace environments, activities and conditions to verify compliance with federal laws, regulations and requirements
- Partner with the H&S Manager for the implementation and maintenance of H&S and facilities initiatives and programs
- Maintain First Aid, CPR, and other related training
- Ensure that all incidents on the plant are reported immediately
- Assist in the investigation of safety and facility-related incidents to determine root cause and corrective action
- Participate in the company’s Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Perform daily walk-throughs of facilities
- Perform training activities, both in a classroom setting and on the shop floor
- Able to perform other duties as assigned

**Working Hours**:
Monday to Friday, _6:00AM through 3:00PM_

**Experience/ Educational Qualification Required**:

- Post-secondary education in Health & Safety is an asset
- 3 years of experience in health and safety
- 3 years of experience in a trainer role
- Currently or working towards CRSP
- Tooling experience would be an asset
- Post-Secondary education in health & safety
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience using the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong mindset of improvement, innovation and teamwork
