**Position Summary**:
This role is primarily responsible for administration as well as procedural and operational compliance throughout the Trucking Operations. In this role you will document and act as a coach/mentor at the field level with our employees and you will be responsible for building and enhancing operational excellence and safety awareness while maintaining and overseeing rules and operating practices consistent with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support the Senior HSE Advisor so that accident and incident investigations are conducted, and reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- Support the Driver Trainer in monitoring drivers, ensuring they are properly trained and possess the necessary skills.
- Assist in coordinating driver training and testing, ensuring that safety standards are being met (accident prevention, safety methods and procedures).
- Assist with developing and implementing process guidelines, driving efficiencies within the department, working at various terminal across the Central region, conducting safety audits, attending safety meetings, participating in internal and external audits, and providing guidance, support, and performance management for drivers.
- Reviewing loading and offloading processes of drivers and completing required documentation.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Minimum 4 years verifiable OTR experience with Tanker Trailers.
- Class 1 (AZ) driver’s license with clean 4 years commercial driver’s abstract preferred.
- Working knowledge of related rules and regulations required for the commercial trucking industry - NSC, HTA, CVOR, DOT, TDG, WHMIS, etc.
- Documentation knowledge - ELD, pre & post trip inspections, hours of service, load, and cargo securement, etc.
- Mechanical inspections knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge or experience working with Asphalt and related products, or Liquid Bulk will be an asset.
- Being able to work out of town for extended periods of time to meet on-site our drivers/suppliers across Central Canada including weekends, evenings, and night shifts as required by our operations.
- Ability to work independently while communicating regularly with our team.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications in English with a strong interpersonal attitude.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate level with strong organizational skills.
- To be energetic and display a passion for Transportation Safety Management will be essential, while working towards a relevant Professional designation.
