**JOB TITLE**: Community & Clinical Education Specialist (OT/ Fall Prevention)
**DEPARTMENT**: Community, Training and Education (Marketing)
**HOURS**: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
**SALARY**: $75-000 - 85,000

We are searching for an Occupational Therapist / Community and Clinical Education Specialist who will take on the challenge of growing the awareness, understanding and meaningful adoption of Fall Prevention approaches in Canadian and USA markets.

**KEY JOB TASKS**
Fall Prevention Education and Awareness:
- You will assist with the development (and growth) of a comprehensive consumer-facing home safety and fall prevention program that helps families assess safety risks in the home, and provides recommendations to help improve home safety.
- Simplify complex fall prevention related topics, and communicate them so they are more easily understood by those with limited medical knowledge.
- You’ll work with the marketing team to create research backed fall prevention education and awareness content (videos, articles, clinical editorial articles, case studies, whitepapers, more.
- You will assist with local Ottawa and region customer test site visits. Conduct end-user and partner conversations to evolve the programs.
- You’ll attend industry training classes as required.
Business & Professional Training Programs:
- You will assist with ongoing support & elevation of our installer partners. Assist with the development of a home safety inspection program, training skilled tradespeople the proper assessment protocols to help people exist more safely in their homes (environmental modifications, adaptive technology, proper placement of devices, more).
- You will create and deliver CEU accredited courses for industry and trade professionals (remodelers, interior designers, architects, care professionals, more). Maintain appropriate records of all CEU programs as mandated by the credentialing bodies.
Networking & Speaking Engagements:
- You will be a Brand Ambassador at various industry events - a clinical face of HealthCraft, promoting our impact and business goals while providing feedback from networking conversations that highlight opportunities.
- You will participate in regional and national special interest groups and steering committees related to fall prevention and home adaptation.
- Together with the marketing team, you will regularly plan, produce and submit educational clinical presentations to conferences related to fall prevention, home adaptations, and other prescribers or designers. Present engaging and action-oriented content to live audiences.
- You will set up digital and in-person community engagement programs - identify key influencers and organizations, provide donations, develop champions, and identify opportunities for engagement.
- You will organize and deliver in-services with community health organizations such as rehab centers, hospitals and fall prevention coalitions in Canada and the US.
Product Development Support:
- You will provide input into current product assessments from a clinical, referral and occupational therapist perspective.
- You’ll participate in product development initiatives with our research and development team.
- You will contribute clinical knowledge, experience and personal ideas to new product projects.
- You will review prototypes independently, with the research and development team, with business customers, and/or consumer focus groups.

- A natural forward planner and team-player who critically assesses performance.
- Active, creative and comfortable on business related social media such as LinkedIN, Facebook and Instagram.
