Job description

The Action Group is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to people with developmental disabilities in Central Alberta including Lacombe, Red Deer and Stettler. Our staff engage individuals and inspire them to become leaders in their own lives while constantly seeking innovative solutions in our quest to provide exceptional service.

We are currently recruiting for **_Disability Support Workers_** (DSW) in **Red Deer **for **part-time** hours alternating weekends (7-3pm/3-11pm) to provide supports for individuals and their independence in residential settings. We are currently seeking staff who have experience working with **developmental disabilities, complex behaviours and personal care** within a team setting.

**Qualifications**:

- creative, positive, encouraging
- confident in providing supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and complex behaviours
- experience with implementing Behaviour Support Plans
- comfortable with providing various levels of personal care
- ability to work under pressure
- team player
- Certification/Diploma in a related field (Foundations, Community Support Worker, etc.) considered an asset but not a requirement

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma
- Driver’s License and Reliable Vehicle
- Criminal Record Check
- Emergency Level C First Aid (obtainable within first three months of hire)

**Opportunities**:

- Wage hourly -CDSW $17.87 or CDSP $20.90/ hour
