The **_Foodraising Manage_**r will travel extensively within the GTA and across Ontario to engage food businesses to source surplus, unsold food for donation. This position will primarily focus on prospecting midstream and upstream food businesses, including producers, processors, manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers. The Foodraising Manager will implement and maintain a strategic food donor acquisition and retention plan, foster strong relationships with food donors, and work closely with the Ontario Operations team to rescue and redistribute food products to our non-profit network.

**You Will**
- Continuously improve Second Harvest's food donor landscape by implementing strategies for attracting and retaining food donors.
- Travel extensively within the GTA and across Ontario to actively recruit new food donors to work with Second Harvest with a goal to increase the quantity, quality, and efficiency of food donations.
- Conduct cold calls, follow-up on referrals, and convert opportunities into food donations. Track outreach activities, record touchpoints, and collect donor feedback.
- Engage lapsed donors as well as donors who are decreasing their food donation support to ensure consistent food donations.
- Help implement a food donor retention plan that celebrates and retains food donors by ensuring appropriate donor stewardship and recognition.
- Deliver presentations and participate in speaking engagements with businesses with the goal of increasing food donor acquisition and retention.
- Attend food industry trade shows/conferences, network with potential food donors, help organize and lead food collections.
- Participate in the development of overall food sourcing and food distribution strategies and policies.
- Create various reports on food procurement as requested.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support the overall goals of the organization.

- Able to travel across Ontario for meetings and fieldwork (mileage compensated if using own vehicle); you have a valid Class G driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Bilingualism (French) is an asset.
