Dog Walker

Duties and general information:

- Make your own way to Joyful Dogs Headquarters, pick up the company vehicle, drive to pick up the dogs, arrive at hiking location and hike for an hour, then drive all the dogs back to their homes. This happens twice daily.
- Winter hours 7:30- 3:30 Monday - Friday
- Summer hours 7:00AM - 3:00PM Monday - Friday
- Weekend and overnight shifts available
- Walk dogs on a regular schedule, rain or shine
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs in your care
- Provide exercise and mental stimulation for the dogs
- Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding their dogs' needs and preferences
- Clean up after the dogs during walks
- Report any concerns or issues to the supervisor
- Help with boarding and at the Boarding house
- Company Vehicle is supplied during work hours.
- It does not go home with you.
- On the job training provided
- Training period 4-6 weeks with a three-month probation period. Probation period pay $17.00-$20.00/hour based on experience.

Qualifications:

- A successful applicant must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Have minimum two-years driving experience and have a clean drivers abstract
- Able provide current Criminal Record Check
- Must have a genuine love and understanding of dogs
- Previous experience working with dogs is preferred, but not required
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with pet owners on a regular basis
- Reliable and punctual, able to adhere to a set schedule
- Physically fit and able to walk for extended periods of time
