**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and storage areas.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager.
- Adhere to proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
**Skills**
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant setting.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Team player with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
