Junior Estimator - Project Coordinator required for Steel Stud Drywall Company
This position is an ever-changing variety of tasks that compliment project administration, estimating and project coordination. We are looking for someone who brings experience, a willingness and wanton to learn, as well bring a skillset to the table to contribute to the adaptation and creation of procedures. An outgoing yet professional attitude is an asset and will make a great addition to our team
Similar experience within these fields of construction is a must
**Duties**:

- Assist Estimators and Project Managers
- Estimate small projects while also being taught how to estimate larger projects.
- Track and create quotation reports for clients.
- Prepare proposal documentation, respond to request for proposal documents.
- Quantity take offs for extra work such as change orders and site instructions
- Administer project budgets, contracts and schedules
- Coordinate change orders for pricing as well as change order logs
- Coordinate and distribute shop drawings and schedules.
- Coordinate client start up and close-out documentation including LEED submittals
- Pre-job preparation for Project Managers such as specification qualification, estimate spread sheets, square footages, etc.
- Site visits and inspection reports, collecting extra work orders

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of labour and materials for steel stud framing, drywall, insulation and acoustic ceilings.
- Estimating and take off experience is a must.
- Prior Project Coordinator experience with a drywall background or construction an asset
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience with On Screen Take Off and Quick Bid or similar estimating software
- Excellent English writing, grammar and communication skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints for large projects as well specifications and any other tender documentation
- MUST live in the lower mainland and be able to legally work in Canada

Compensation and Benefits to be determined.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
