JOB TITLE: Garnish Mixer, Prepared Foods

JOB GRADE: Grade 3

GRADE RANGE: $19.13 - $21.11 per Hour

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Follow JHA’s and work safely.
- Must be able to work shifts on a rotating basis
- Interpret mixing formulas - Weighing, Mixing and blending of ingredients to recipe.
- Cleaning and Sanitation of equipment. Maintaining a neat work area, as well as a daily housekeeping report of the area
- Responsible for identification and reporting of product quality issues.
- Dealing with production issues, working in a fast-paced team environment
- Work in wet and temperature controlled environment (between 5 and 8 C)
- Participate in Team meetings as required.
- Complete core curriculum E-learning courses
- Responsible for following all safety requirements.
- Material handling of 25 kg boxes.
- Documentation of ingredient codes, ingredient temperatures and tracking of finished garnish
- Responsible for timing out garnish to ensure shift completion or change over.
- Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.
- Trouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.
- Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s).
- Ensure QCDSME targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s.
- Relay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource).
- All additional duties as they become assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Grade 12 education or GED
- Basic computer skills would be an asset
- Must be able to work shift work including weekend with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
- ** Team player with excellent attendance**:

- Successful completion of 90 day training period
- Ability to accept and embrace change in the day to day operations
- Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly
- Must be self motivated with an excellent attendance record and able to work well in a team environment.
- Some lifting is required of approximately 25 lbs
- Ability to learn to perform some autonomous maintenance activities (inspection, lubrication etc)
