**Coordinator, Facilities and Greenspace**

Reporting to the Director, Conservation Lands, the Coordinator is responsible for the general management and maintenance of Conservation Authority properties, corporate infrastructure and assets. Program areas include management and maintenance of: Conservation lands; Built infrastructure and operating systems; Fleet and Equipment; and Non-capital Assets such as furniture.

**What you will do**
- Manage and provide direction to the Greenspace Services and Facilities department including full-time, contract and seasonal staff.
- Oversee program delivery, including annual workplan development and scheduling.
- Develop and implement project solutions and maintenance processes.
- Support departmental staff with project and program task implementation on a regular basis, and backfilling during employee absences.
- Supervise and direct the maintenance, repair and renovation of vehicles, equipment, buildings and building systems.
- Provide support to the Director for management of major infrastructure projects including project consultant management, permitting, project administration and reporting.
- Responsible for procurement of minor assets such as vehicles, equipment, project materials and tools.
- Identify and implement solutions to meet corporate efficiency, safety, and environmental objectives such as energy efficiency and Carbon reduction targets.
- Coordinate procurement and management of recurring service contractors for general maintenance (e.g., waste management, cleaning services, pest control) and building systems (e.g., HVAC, elevating devices, back-up generators).
- Coordinate procurement and management of service contractors for maintenance and retrofitting of facilities such as licensed trades, general contractors, and special services (e.g. Roofing, windows and doors, electrical, plumbing).
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director.

**What you offer**
- 3 years related job experience in the delivery of facility and asset management and maintenance projects and programs.
- College diploma in natural resource management, forestry, applied trades, outdoor recreation or similar.
- Experience with employee supervision and project coordination.
- Chainsaw Operator Certification
- First Aid Certification.
- Working at heights training.
- Requires a broad, general knowledge of multiple trades including general construction, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, automotive and small engine repair.
- Chainsaw, woodchipper, riding mower and other landscaping equipment operation and maintenance.
- Mechanical equipment operation such as tractors and implements, snowplows, dump truck and trailers.
- Experience with service contract and asset management.
- Familiar with woodchipper safety and operations.
- Must possess a valid Class “G” Driver’s License.
- Knowledge in the following areas considered an asset:

- Tree Risk Assessment Qualifications.
- Ontario Pesticide Applicator Certification.
- Small Drinking Water System Operator Certification.
- Conservation Area/Provincial/National Park facility operation.
- Municipal parks/works or facilities operation.
- General construction.

**Start Date**

April/May 2023

**Hours of work**

35-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Rotational standby and on-call (weekends) required for winter maintenance activities (November-April).

This position is not eligible for hybrid work.

Travel between Conservation Authority sites required (Newmarket to Bradford).
