Under the direction and leadership of the Manager, Fixed Assets, we are seeking a Supervisor, Capital Assets to join our Fixed Assets team in Edmonton, AB. The Supervisor, Capital Assets is responsible for the supervision of the fixed assets sub-systems and leading direct reports. This position provides review and guidance on fixed asset transactions, planning and forecasting of fixed asset balances and transactions. The incumbent will support the development of regulatory filings, responses to information requests and supports depreciation matters.

**What You Get to Do**:

- Reviews asset continuities, depreciation block test, and results packages.
- Coordinates/prepares business plans, forecasts for depreciation and amortization expense, PP&E balances and capital cost allowance.
- Prepares or reviews responses to AUC or other intervener information requests and coordinates the preparation of special studies required for AUC regulatory filings.
- Ensures compliance with AUC directives as they relate to regulatory accounts, deferral accounts, and other fixed asset matters.
- Provides leadership and mentorship to direct reports, communicates expectations and conducts performance reviews.
- Completes ad hoc assignments.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or an equivalent combination of experience and a non-commerce degree.
- Professional accounting designation or advanced degree is required (i.e. CMA, CGA, CA, MBA).
- Minimum of 5 years of financial experience is required.
- Sound knowledge of financial and utility accounting, regulatory and budgeting concepts.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Oracle Financials.
- Proven ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to supervise and develop staff.
- Able to deliver under tight deadlines, using proven problem solving and prioritization skills.
