**Barista and Dessert Artists**
The positions of Baristas and Dessert Artists are integral to the full Symposium experience as the dessert showcase is typical the focal point of each location. As a Barista / Dessert Artist, you will work in close collaboration with colleagues to provide guests with a memorable experience in two high volume areas of the restaurant. In addition to food quality standards, you will also be expected to uphold established and necessary health and safety standards for an overall superior guest experience.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Following recipes to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages including coffee, espresso based drinks, and blended beverages
- Cutting cakes and decorating plates to specifications
- Opening set up and closing cleanup of work station
- Keeping equipment clean
- Basic food preparation and service
- Basic food preparation, portioning and table delivery service when required
- Hosting and seating guests with appropriate menus, documenting guest information on host charts
- Bussing and cleaning tables
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Guest focused attitude: positive, accommodating, responsive to needs
- Experience making coffee and espresso drinks
- Attention to cleanliness and safety, adherence to specified standards
- Fixed schedule
- Organizational skills for effective work during busy periods
- Responsible, Trustworthy, Strong Work Ethic
- Team player, works well with others to provide superior guest experience
- Will be required to use sharp knives, blenders and handle hot food
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 15 per week
