**RÉSUMÉ**:
Le Technicien en essais non destructifs, niveau 1 traite et conditionne les pièces d'une manière contrôlée et standardisée via la technologie du ressuage, pour que le Niveau II les inspecte visuellement sous lumière noire. Dans ce rôle, le titulaire procède à l'échantillonnage selon les instructions du voyageur, prépare les pièces selon la procédure standard, déplace les pièces pour l'inspection/validation de niveau II.

**TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS ESSENTIELLES**:

- Prélèvement d'échantillons de pièces conformément aux instructions
- Exposition normalisée au pénétrant
- Nettoyage standardisé avec émulsifiant
- Séchage standardisé

**EXIGENCES DU POSTE, COMPÉTENCES ET APTITUDES**:

- Diplôme d'études secondaires
- Formation complète et examen selon la norme NAS 410, niveau I
- Test d'aptitude : Capacité à porter un masque respiratoire
- WHIMS : exposition à des matériaux et/ou produits chimiques dangereux

**ENVIRONNEMENT DE TRAVAIL**:

- Travail debout.
- Nécessité de déplacer les pièces vers différentes stations sur le convoyeur.
- Nécessité d'avoir une bonne vision pour évaluer la propreté des pièces avant l'exposition au pénétrant.Nécessité de porter des gants pour éviter tout contact avec les produits chimiques du pénétrant et de l'émulsifiant.

**Flexible work schedule**:Adaptability to ensure work-life balance. **Shift B/Day: Wednesday to Saturday & Thursday to Saturday, 6am to 6pm or Shift A/Day Sunday to Tuesday, and Sunday to Wednesday, 6am to 6pm.**

**SUMMARY**:
The NDT technician I will process & condition the parts in a controlled and standardized manner via the Liquid penetrant technology, for Level II to visually inspect them under blacklight. In this role the incumbent proceeds to sampling per traveler instructions, prepared the parts per the procedure, move the parts for Level II inspection/validation.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES**
- Sampling of parts per instructions
- Standardized exposition to penetrant
- Standardized cleaning with emulsifier
- Standardized drying

**JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- High school degree
- Complete training and exam per NAS 410, Level I
- Fit Test: Ability to wear a respiratory mask
- WHIMS: Exposure to hazardous materials and/or chemical.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Work is stand up.
- Need to move parts to different station on conveyor
- Need to have good vision to evaluate part cleanliness prior penetrant exposition.
- Need to wear glove to avoid contact with penetrant and emulsifier chemicals.
