**Job Overview**
Apex Archaeology Inc. (AAI) is actively seeking Archaeological Field Assistants to join our Dundas, ON field team. As an Archaeological Field Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting day-to-day archaeological field work tasks under the supervision of an Archaeological Field Director in various locations across southern Ontario.

**Key Responsibilities**

As an Archaeological Field Assistant, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Completing Stage 2-4 Archaeological Assessment fieldwork tasks according to the requirements outlined in the _Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists._
- Carry out excavations of archaeological test units
- Recording data - collecting data points, taking field photographs, writing field notes and drawing site maps, unit plans and sections

**Requirements**:

- Must be capable of working outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Must demonstrate the ability to preform repetitive, physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
- Able to meet at daily carpool location
- Able to stay out of town, from time to time, in AAI-provided overnight accommodations

**Job Type**: Part-time Seasonal with potential for Full-time Seasonal

Wage: From $22/hr

Expected Hours: 20-44hrs/week

Additional Pay: Overtime Pay

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
