This position will conduct technical transportation analysis that supports the provision of services to our many public sector clients.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Vice President - Municipal Transportation Planning, the primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Create, load, and manipulate geographical and associated data
- Analyze and report on geographical trends in various memos and reports
- Prepare custom reports, graphics, charts, maps, plans, documents, and survey data for internal staff and clients
- Supporting, attending, and participating in client and public meetings
- Developing and managing content for presentations, reports, and proposals
- Support parking studies, transportation master plans, environmental assessments and other transportation planning related projects
- Act as a resource for research, surveys, reports, policy development and specialized studies on land use and transportation planning issues
- Prepare Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data, survey data, maps and plans in support of studies and project
- Conduct data management, spatial analysis and network analysis to support traffic operations and transportation planning studies such as walkshed analysis, shortest path network assignment
- Develop a storage and filing system for GIS-related data
- Develop QA/QC processes and protocol
- Build models and automate geoprocessing workflows in GIS
- Deliver projects in a timely and efficient manner.

**Professional Knowledge & Qualifications**
- 5+ years' experience in a Transportation Planning role working directly with GIS, Geomatics
- Urban planning, engineering, or related degree
- Experience with Esri products (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, etc.)
- Experience working on various transportation planning projects, including transportation master planning
- Experience working in a consulting environment is an asset
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, R or SQL.
- Working knowledge of and experience with cartographic layouts, GIS best practices, spatial analysis techniques.
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal / team player, organizational and analytical skills;
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite of programs;
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently; and
- A valid Ontario driver’s license and vehicle.
