Ottawa, Canada Home Comfort Seniors Services Full time

Responsibilities:

- Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients in their homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the patient's condition to healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of nurse or nursing practices is a plus
- Familiarity with dementia care, home care, nursing home, or hospice care is beneficial
- Ability to administer medication following proper protocols
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to provide patient care with empathy, compassion, and respect
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting when required
- Reliable transportation to travel to patient locations

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
