Cover Decorating Operator

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday, 6 AM-6 PM
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, 6 AM-6 PM

**Job Requirements**:

- High School Diploma/GED/Mature Student Diploma
- Machine operation and Forklift experience an asset, training will be provided
- Basic machine troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- Effective English use and comprehension
- Effective use of production related documents to accomplish job tasks
- Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery, equipment, product
- Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating self-management capabilities
- Knowledge of workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work and communicate effectively with the Managers and co-workers
- Carry out jobs according to the schedule or as directed by the Production Manager
- Manage the stamping and embossing equipment for quality, efficiency and productivity
- Understand the job requirements from information on the docket and other sources
- Locate the correct materials and components for the job
- Set up the machine as required for the job
- Run sample covers making necessary adjustments
- Run job to required quantities performing periodic visual and measurement checks
- Stack covers neatly on skids and identify finished lifts with accurate counts
- Arrange for component storage
- Perform machine maintenance as described in the Stamper/Embosser Maintenance Binder and the Operator’s Manual
- Practice Friesens safety procedures for equipment and plant situations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production or Operations Manager
