**POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manages with honesty, integrity and knowledge that promote the company's culture and values.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure that company Health and Safety policies are being observed.
- Train and develop a team of drivers to execute the service expectations of our customers; coach and discipline drivers as necessary.
- Liaise with the union representatives to rectify complaints and work to resolve grievances at labour management meetings with the support of management.
- Design efficient routes on a daily basis which drivers will execute the following day.
- Support root cause resolution of any Customer Service issues / complaints.
- Regulatory compliance of the fleet.
- Provide guidance to direct reports so that Standard Operating Procedures are understood and being followed and any deviations are noted as well as taking appropriate corrective action.
- In order to effectively know the work conditions and constraints of their team, the Logistics Supervisor should schedule time to visit customer locations while service is being executed and be willing to 'ride-along' with drivers as needed.
- Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with Company policy.
- Conduct root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, ensuring consistent discipline and retraining and corrective actions implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, MTO, MOE, MOL.
- Complete performance evaluations.
- Respond and handle client requests and/or issues in a timely manner to ensure clients satisfaction.
- Coordinate with Fleet Maintenance concerning commercial vehicle preventative maintenance and repair requirements.
- Manage and direct the activities of team members, equipment and maintenance dept.
- Other duties as required.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:*
*
- Post-secondary education, preferably in a business/Logistic discipline
- 1-3 yrs. of Transportation/Logistics experience preferred
- 1-3 yrs. Logistics Routing experience focusing on efficiencies preferred
- Supervisory experience within the transportation/Logistics environment
- Ability to coach, mentor and train employees
- Strong communication and demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to work within a team atmosphere to achieve common goals
- Commercial license considered an asset (AZ, DZ)
- Ability to work independent and to provide professional Guidance/oversight to Logistic operators/maintenance staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to maintain Routing efficiency.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office, Oracle, People net, Road net
