In collaboration with the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the plant and the mobilisation of his/her team.

**More specifically, the incumbent of the position will**:

- As a member of the food safety team, you will implement and maintain the effective SQF and HACCP system to support its ongoing improvement
- Manage and monitor the daily planning and production activities
- Working along with OPM planner and manage weekly production goals and needs
- Monitor the flow of product and make adjustment as necessary
- Assume responsibility for on-going decision making to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Work on daily management system KPI’s and prepare for deliverables on a weekly basis
- Ensure the optimal functioning of equipment and report on maintenance requirements
- Maintain current understanding of all functions in the plant including warehouse, quality standards and maintenance department
- Ensure that plant staff are adhering to the Agropur Health and Safety roles and responsibilities
- Interface continuously with Sales Department to inform on and maintain production efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Be knowledgeable and willing to provide support in all areas relating to production and delivery of product-i.e., warehouse; loading trucks; production floor
- Possess and update organic and conventional industry knowledge on an on-going basis
- Provide hands-on relief as necessary within the Production Department
- Working on progressive planning and the supply chain planning of the process - provide back up for Production and Warehouse needs
- Maintain awareness of the morale and motivation levels of plant staff and provide appropriate feedback to Manager of Production
- Supervise actions and performance and delegate activities as required to ensure efficiency and safety in plant activities
- Ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and followed as directed by the Manager of Production
- Identify training needs and provide hand-on training as required, develop maintain and implement training process
- Develop own supervisory and management skills on an on-going basis

**Requirements**:

- You cumulate at least five (5) years of experience in food production management
- Your experience in the dairy industry will be considered as a strong asset
- You have a Bachelor or College degree with relevant experience, in a relevant field
- You are a team player and you are in line with the organisation’s values
- Lean manufacturing experience an asset
- Knowledge of ERP system an asset
