- Duties & Responsibilities:_

Provides technical support for customers and Hörmann Barrie sales personnel to solve field issues.
Active day-to-day Field Service technical support, answering calls, troubleshooting, ordering parts, etc. to ensure our customers get best possible service.
Provides internal expertise and technical support for Engineering, Sales & Marketing including but not limited to:
a. Testing and data collection
b. ECRs for product improvements
c. Review end users’ specifications and make recommendations
e. Design, build, maintain and set-up trade show working displays, staff shows.
Makes site visits as required to perform the required work or supervises customers’ technicians performing the required work in all aspects of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Resolves warranty issues as required following established Warranty policy and process.
Actively participates in the CAR process for any cases where Field Services needs to investigate or develop corrective/preventative actions.
Provides solutions for problems with electrical/electronic controls.
Is a significant participant in Hörmann Barrie continuous improvement team activities.
Oversees or assists with customer contracts as required, ensuring that all of their product and paper work requirements are met.
Assists with Research and Development prototyping, testing and data collection.
Is a key participant in developing Hörmann Barrie electrical design and control capabilities
Acts as technical liaison with electrical suppliers and other suppliers, as required.
Accurately maintains data in Macola and Synergy business systems.
Maintains product service manuals and warranty documentation.
Develops/customizes & maintains customer technical training presentations.
Helps setup and staff tradeshows.
Periodically performs other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications:_
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma or related certification required
- Previous experience in sales and/or customer service
- Previous experience troubleshooting control circuitry and mechanical systems
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:_

Bilingual, secondary language would be an asset
Exceptional mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities
Knowledge of relay logic, PLC’s and Frequency Inverters
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to travel and work overtime if required
Ability to work independently and achieve results
