Phoenix Child Centre is a not-for-profit childcare that employs individuals from all backgrounds to work in an inclusive, dynamic, and engaging workplace. We cater to the community and serve children of all abilities from 2.6 to 12 years of age. Phoenix Child Centre embraces the Reggio philosophy and provides interest based and child centered programming. The children are involved in a broad spectrum of activities that assist in the development of cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills in creative, thought provoking, and age-appropriate ways.

Staff are responsible for but not limited to creating and implementing programs that reflect the children’s interests based on observations and meet AQI standards. Monitoring the safety and well-being of the children in their care both indoors and outdoors. Communicating with children, parents, and staff in a positive and respectful manner despite the circumstances. Building relationships with children and their families that are based on trust, support, and mutual respect. Working in a cooperative manner within a team and the ability to effectively problem solve to ensure all parties involved feel heard. Creating documentation that reflects the learning done in the classroom and understanding the development of skills and knowledge through this documentation to move the children forward.

**Qualifications**
- Registered in “good standing” with the College of ECE’s preferred
- Experience in childcare and planning/implementing activities.
- A valid standard First Aid certificate that includes CPR & AED training.
- A valid and clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Reference Check
- Up to date medical records
- Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach
- Profluent in reading and writing English.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- Monday to Friday

- North York, ON M2J 2W6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
