**About the job**:
Our company is currently seeking motivated **Level 2 UT Technician** for a permanent role in Calgary. Within this position inspector is expected to perform their tasks at an exceptional level of quality.
**Responsibilities**:
- _Test and Report_
- Strong understanding of Inspection requirements, steel materials and record keeping
- Operate regular Non Destructive Testing (from setting up and calibration of equipment to conducting tests) in accordance with safe work procedures
- Follow the organization’s procedures, processes and SOP’s
- Perform specialized inspections
- Organize and report test results
- _Maintenance, and Inventory_
- Maintaining internal and external assets and conduct regular routine maintenance operations on shop equipment in accordance with pre-defined schedules
- Work with upper management to ensure all daily operations are organized, process flow is maintained, and logistic needs are met.
- Inventory: Report to Manager any requirements for tools, parts, and supplies
**QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE**:
- CGSB Level2 UT certification required
- MPI/LPI Certification is an asset
- Familiar with related codes, and standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Previous work / supervision experiences in Oil & Gas is an asset
- _Physical and Schedule Demands_:
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently
- A combination of standing, walking, sitting bending, grasping and lifting
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required i.e. safety shoes, gloves and any other PPE that is required to perform tasks in the area
- Working in a fast paced, multi-tasking, darkened environment
- Availability to work shift work and/or overtime
- Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic
- _Status_ in Canada:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
