Lead Pastor

Ladysmith, BC

**Seeking a full-time Lead Pastor (40+ hours per week)**
- The lead pastor is called by the church, works with, and is accountable to the deacon's board and serves as spiritual leader of the church.
- The lead pastor will provide strong pastoral leadership that will ensure the members and congregants of OCC are growing in their knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.
- The lead pastor will be the primary communicator of the church’s mission and values and through preaching and shepherding, will empower and equip people to work together to fulfill OCC’s mission and accomplish its strategic goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Gifted and inspired preacher of God’s Word
- Models pastoral qualifications according to Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9)
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited Post Secondary institute
- Master's degree preferred but not mandatory
- Demonstrated previous impactful church leadership

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Fully aligned with the mission of OCC **:Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World**:

- Primary preacher/teacher for the church
- Provide spiritual oversight,corporate leadership in prayer, and pastoral care
- Mentor and provide leadership to church staff
- Ensure the effective management of day to day operational church activities
- Represent the church and engage the community of Ladysmith
- Create tactical plans and programs to meet the strategic goals of OCC
- Provide counseling, as needed, to congregation members
- Work collaboratively with the deacons board in a governance model of leadership
- To be an ex-officio member of deacon’s board and all committees to provide spiritual direction where necessary
- Adherence to Fellowship Pacific code of conduct
- Represent OCC to Fellowship Pacific
- Adjunct related pastoral duties as required

- Effective communicator

**Salary**: $36,325.26-$76,641.12 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ladysmith, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- performing rites and rituals in your faith's tradition (preferred)
