**Position Title**: Corporate Development Analyst

**Location**: Corporate Office - Vancouver/CDA

**Purpose**: The Corporate Development Analyst supports the strategic developments within the company designed to restructure, strengthen, or grow current business.

**Reports To**: Vice President, Corporate Development and Sustainability

**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Corporate Development and Sustainability, the analyst will provide analytical support to corporate strategy and finance functions. The position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including market research and analysis, forecasting, liquidity analysis, and financial reporting.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Position**:

- Assist in preparations of presentations to management and Board of Directors on potential M&A opportunities and our corporate development strategy. Assist in the preparation of management presentations for financing meetings. o Construct financial models o Ad-hoc analysis, research and preparing presentations and reports based on their findings
- Actively participate in our pipeline development and industry research o Evaluate prospective investments and conduct initial due diligence including reviewing memoranda, data and reports, and reperforming industry research. o Research and report on industry, competition, customers and suppliers.
- Assist management in preparing budgets, financial models and analyses as needed.
- Analyze financial and operating data, including sales and profitability trends.
- Perform financial analysis and modeling
- Assist in the preparation of internal business reviews, including investment memoranda.

**Skills & Abilities**
- Able to communicate effectively and proactively to a variety of audiences, using verbal and written presentations. Clear and concise communication.
- Strong corporate finance knowledge, including financial modeling, and basic accounting
- Able to demonstrate discretion and discernment in all business matters
- Dedicated and strong attention to detail
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Proactive problem-solver
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point is required
- Industry knowledge is preferred (mining and metals)
- Skills in the Spanish or French language an asset
- Occasional international travel is required.
- Stress tolerant with ability to meet critical deadlines
- Operates with a high degree of autonomy. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, and work effectively within team structures
- Able to provide creative insight and problem solving

**Education and Credentials**
- Bachelor of Science in Commerce, economics, finance, marketing, business or related field is required;
- Certification in Financial Modeling preferred.
- Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of applicable experience

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
