Inclusion Support Teacher lead at Saanichton campus, supporting students in self-paced, individualized learning. Successful applicant should have experience working with at-risk youth in an alternate setting, working collaboratively on a team, and teaching or supporting secondary curriculum in Math and English 9 - 12.

Successful experience with adapting and modifying materials for a diversity of learners

**Required Qualifications**:
Bachelor of Education (Secondary)

Post-Graduate Diploma or Master’s Degree in Special Education including University course work in the following (or equivalent) courses:
Student Exceptionality

Assessment for Special Education

Collaboration and Consultation in Special Education

Behavioural, Social and Emotional Needs

Assistive Technology

Teaching Students with Developmental Difficulties

Differentiating Instruction/Inclusive Classrooms

Advanced Assessment and Intervention

Development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Five years of demonstrated successful classroom/Instructional Support teacher experience

**Desirable Characteristics/Attributes**:
Demonstrated use of highly successful instructional strategies in the classroom for secondary school age students

Ability to work closely as a member of a team

Effective communication skills, demonstrated through positive relationships with students, staff and parents

Demonstrated successful experience working with at-risk vulnerable adolescents

Ability to adjust curriculum and assessment strategies to meet the needs of a wide range of students

Experience with graduation level courses, including provincial exam preparation

Secondary experience and extensive knowledge of curriculum and graduation criteria
