**Position Description**

In this position you will be reporting to the director of the Distribution Centre Manager. You will achieve success by performing quality inspections ensuring that all inbound produce products meet Real Fruit Bubble Tea’s quality standards at the distribution level as well as key holder responsibilities. This role works with various areas (produce purchasing team, vendors, supply chain, distribution, and operations) to aid in the integration and adherence of policies and processes with respect to quality thereby ensuring compliance to all statutory and company requirements.

The Produce Specialist is responsible for verifying all inbound produce products mainly mangoes as they are a huge part of our business. You will be responsible for consistently meets company’s specifications for quality (size, weight, trim, colour etc.) by measurement of key metrics and adherence to sampling and testing programs. Responsibility is governed by company objectives and policies.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Support Distribution Centre Manager on establishing Quality Assurance
- Responsible for ensuring adherence and compliance with established quality assurance policies thereby ensuring that all produce products meet the highest standards of quality and food safety.
- Complete daily/ongoing QA auditing of product (International inbound shipments, national inbound shipments, inventory slot checks, and distribution checks)
- Assure the quality of produce entering the warehouse and advise if the product should be accepted or rejected
- Responsible for downloading and recording all TMD (Temperature Monitor Device) readings, working with other business units if any issue arises.
- Continuous communication with produce manager, managers, Supply Chain and DC Operations.
- Ensure produce is presented to achieve maximum sales/ profits and follow correct stock rotation
- Respond to internal customers or stores questions and complaints regarding all quality related matters in produce department.
- Contribute as a key member of the quality team to strategic decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for retail operations and deliverables (e.g. inventory, ordering, item maintenance, quality and rotation, merchandising, invoicing).
- Ensure compliance with Safe Food Handling regulations as well as Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.

- Typically requires completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of a Public Health Food Handler certification plus Level A First Aid and Basic CPR certification.
- 1 -2 years product QA experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good understanding of produce department product knowledge
- Knowledge of WHIMIS, Food Safety and Loss Prevention practices
- Knowledge of temperature control, merchandising and cross-merchandising techniques etc.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
