**Reporting**:This position** **will report directly to the Senior Production Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the Estimating and Drafting Departments to drive timelines and efficiencies within the pre-construction process.
- Collaborate with Hopewell Design Center, Sales, Construction, Warranty, Conveyancing and Accounting to drive timelines and business efficiencies within the full build-cycle process.
- Assist in identifying, establishing, and executing standard operating procedures for the Operations teams.
- Communicate processes and oversee process documentation in support of operational efficiency. Monitor and enforce adherence to processes throughout the organization.
- Oversee Change Order management, continually looking for methods to reduce Change Orders and improve processing timelines.
- Provide back-up support to the Production Drafting Technical Lead by reviewing Sales Support requests and delegating work as needed.
- Learn how the Contract Profitability Analysis (CPA) tool is utilized and assist in ongoing completion and maintenance of CPA’s.
- Review weekly production schedules and report construction release projections.
- Verify files for accuracy and completeness at all stages of the pre-construction process.
- Participate and/or lead the weekly preconstruction meetings, monthly sales PK sessions, and biweekly construction/pd meetings.
- Mentor and cross-train junior members of the estimating and production team.
- Become proficient at utilizing existing software to maximize business efficiency.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Competencies**:

- A minimum of 8 years of experience in residential construction, preferably with a background in estimating and/or drafting.
- Possess an Architectural Technologist Designation from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent.
- Experience in the Newstar operating system is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in the use of Auto CAD is considered an asset.
- Team player with strong written & verbal communication and a drive for excellence.
- Energetic individual who possesses great attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

**Working Conditions**:
Traditional core office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will occasionally require attendance at events and show home openings outside of regular work hours, including evenings and weekends.
