New employees must provide documentation/proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status, a 2-step TB screening, as well as proof of immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (chickenpox) prior to their start date at St. Mary’s General Hospital. Staff will require clearance from Employee Health and Wellness before they are able to begin any position within SMGH.

**Position Summary**:
The Registered MRT is responsible for obtaining optimal imaging quality while providing assistance to an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals in a patient centered environment. The Registered MRT must have the knowledge, skills and judgment to practice safely by adhering to all relevant provincial/ federal legislation and guidelines, departmental protocols/policies, and manufacturers’ directions pertaining to health and safety. In the event of any unexpected problems or emergencies, the Registered MRT is competent and prepared to handle or assist in the management of the situation.
- Must be able to respond to call-ins within 30 minutes*

**Position Requirements**:

- Current registration with College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO)
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- Three to five (3-5) years of recent and relevant work experience, preferably in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Functional knowledge of cardiac anatomy
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Must have a level of physical fitness to perform the manual tasks of the position (e.g., long period of standing while wearing a lead apron)

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Preference will be given to applicants with the following additional qualifications:

- Current registration, in good standing, with OAMRS and/or CAMRT
