The primary role of the Cardiac Sonographer is to perform diagnostic Echo's as ordered by one of our 5 Cardiologists. Imaging procedures at the request of the physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiac disease. Testing includes, Exercise Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Contrast Echo and Bubble Study.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Able to work effectively as a member of an inter-professional team, collaborating with other disciplines to provide comprehensive patient care
- Contributes to the academic mandate of the organization as an educator, resource or support for staff, students
- Identifies and addresses educational needs for patients and their families
- Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development in order to continue to provide optimal patient care
- Is committed to, and participates in, ongoing quality improvement in the organization
- Provides patient care in accordance with all professional and organizational standards

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree, graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography
- Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) **and/or** CRCS-AE with Sonography Canada
- Mandatory membership with CMRITO(College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Proven flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as relates to patient care
- Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with professional association, etc.) preferred
- Effective and demonstrated team skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

- Monday to Friday
