We are currently looking for a lead carpenter, this individual will be responsible for daily lead on site. They will ensure that all related work on site runs smoothly.

Role and Responsibilities:

- A positive attitude and eagerness to continued learning and professional development;
- Takes ownership of assigned projects and sees the daily tasks through to completion:

- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Have 5+ years general carpentry experience and extensive experience with residential renovation projects;
- Sets priorities and exercises flexibility where necessary:

- Understanding of Ontario building code, safety guidelines and regulations addressing construction projects:

- Must have a valid drivers license and own transportation:

- Able to work in an environment with pressure and tight deadlines;
- Work well as a member of a positive team (both as a leader and follower) and always lead by example;
- Ability and willingness to perform physical site work (Get on the tools) as and when required;
- Strong background in skills such as residential framing, trim carpentry, drywall/acoustics, flooring, window setting;
**Job Specific Requirements**:

- Management of Construction Teams and sub trades
- Management of organizing subcontractors and ordering any required materials for project
- willingness to do construction related take offs
- Hands on management for various labourers and subcontractors working on construction sites
- Making sure that all members of the construction team are working together with the sole objection of completing the required work on time and budget, while adhering to all deadlines, specifications and codes.
- Monitoring performance of subcontractors and staff
- Ensuring that all expectations are communicated effectively to staff and subcontractors.
- Ensure that all safety requirements are being met on each site.
- Maintain and track site labour hours to ensure work is kept on track with budgets and accurately reported for payroll;
- Complete all required on-site work required (such as Framing, trim carpentry, cleaning)
- Schedule and oversee all building inspections;
- Notify management of any design related problems that could impact work;
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are in working order;
- Ensure that construction sites are maintained in a professional manner at all times; including site cleanliness, site security and protection of property from damage as a result of work;
- Project Schedule and Budget
- Keep track of progress of each project to ensure that work is kept on schedule and that any risks or changes to the schedule are communicated and managed;
- Provide daily reports (job logs) on daily site progress;
- Provide any information/updates necessary to assist in the maintenance of the master schedules;

**Salary**: to be discussed based on experience

**Experience**:

- Residential Renovations and new construction: 5 years (preferred)
- Excavation and formwork: 3 years (preferred)
- Red Seal certified(required) please attach

**Location**:

- Cambridge,Kitchener/Waterloo, Brant ON (preferred)
- G Class Driver's Licence (required)
- AZ/DZ Driver’s license (preferred)
- First Aid (preferred)
- Working at Heights training(required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
