**About your next Challenge as a Avionics Repair and Overhaul (R&O) Assembly & Test Technician**:
**Overall Summary**:

- The employee will quickly be verified as a fully proficient support individual contributor. Working under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.

**Nature of Supervision**:

- Works under limited supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided and mínimal peer review is required.

**Communication & Influence**:

- Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. May be a resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.

**Innovation & Complexity**:

- Work will be structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Technician Employees typically follow established processes to complete tasks. Technician Employees identify problems and issues in straightforward situations and resolve most of these issues on their own; more complex issues are identified and solved with help from coworkers and/or Engineering Support staff.

- Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of moderate scope, typically on larger, task-related activities.

**What You Will Do**:
As an Avionics Repair and Overhaul (R&O) Assembly & Test Technician at L3Harris MAS you will primarily be responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, rework, and repair operations on military airborne electronic equipment. These tasks include but are not limited to:

- Hand soldering removal and replacement of electronic components on assemblies and circuit card assemblies using manual methods (typical) and semi-automated processing equipment (periodic).
- Assembly, repair, and/or rewiring of cables/harness assemblies for black box assemblies for repair purposes and for new product prototype build.
- Certification to electronic industry standards for soldering, wire harness/cabling; and component rework/repair will be required
- Comprehend and interpret a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents.
- Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
- Follow industry standard procedures
- Perform periodic recertification of soldering, harness/cabling, and rework skillset
- Perform repair and alignment checks; make adjustments, modification, and replacements as directed.
- Periodically responsible to perform Manufacturing Technician functions associated with electro mechanical product testing and troubleshooting in a military product repair and overhaul (R&O) operation.
- Performs quality testing related to the verification of prototype assemblies and repair verification on components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the repair process.
- Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
