**Waste and Water Lead**

ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director, Waste and Water, the Waste and Water Lead role is

positioned within the Rook I Waste and Water group that functionally integrates

across the Rook I Project.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
( INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Acting as NexGen’s lead for mine waste and site water (“waste and water”)

work scopes required in the safe advancement the Rook I Project.

Leading, managing, and contributing to aspects related to site waste and

water management and design for Project Development, Environment,

Licensing, and Engagement teams.

Identifying, developing, implementing, and managing waste and water work

packages reflective of NexGen’s commitment to elite environmental and

engagement practices.

Participating and contributing as part of a multi-disciplinary team as a

technical expertise.

Managing (scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, quality) waste and water

work packages, including informing business unit strategic objectives

including, but not limited to 1) Continual development and improvement of

the Waste Management Program (including Mine Waste Management

Plan, Site Water Management Plan, and Conventional Waste Management

Plan). 2) The site-wide water balance and water quality model. 3)

Groundwater and solute transport modelling (including underground mine

inflows).
Participating in and facilitating technical engagements with provincial and

federal regulators as pertaining to waste and water.

Supporting community engagement activities.

Supporting site water management infrastructure detailed design activities.

Leading and managing scopes of work related to waste and water for the

Environmental Excellence team.

Further duties as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

B.Sc. in applicable Engineering, Geosciences, or Environmental Sciences

(Earth Sciences).

7+ years of experience in the natural resource industry with a preference

for mining.

Demonstrated efficiency and skill in planning, organization, leadership,

management, and administrative processes.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain

relationships and communicate with team members in a timely, efficient,

and respectful manner.

Experience working within and/or management of multidisciplinary projects

and/or teams.

Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple technical concepts and

workflows to an overarching objective is considered an asset.

Experience in the development of mine waste and/or water management

plans and/or designs and/or mine waste storage facility performance

monitoring.

Beneficial technical skills include experience in one or more of:

- Development of mine site water balances, closure and reclamation planning, metal leaching _
- and acid rock drainage geochemistry, surface hydrology, and hydrogeology._
