As apart of the HIAH team the Finance Administrator shall have extensive experience in the financial management sector with a strong financial vision, insight to match and proven track record of success to manage and direct all the organization’s finances.

The Finance Administrator will work with Business and Economic Development Manager to develop, monitor, and evaluate budgets, financial codes and regulations, policies and procedures and recommend changes for improvement; and will coordinate the establishment and maintenance of internal financial control processes for monthly financial reporting.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- ** Preferred**:

- A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or accounting with minimum five (5) years direct work-related experience.
- **Minimum**:

- College Diploma three (3) years in Finance or Accounting with minimum seven (7) years of equivalent work experience

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**:

- Plan, coordinate and monitor the daily activities of the Finance Department daily operations; including inputting and reviews all financial transaction matters
- Prepare and maintain the General Ledger and produce financial statements for HIAH and its subsidiaries for board meetings and reporting purposes
- Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and By-Laws, Finance and Administrative Codes/regulations, Employee Policies and Procedures
- Responsible for the efficient and effective administration of all financial programs and services
- Assist in strategic planning, financial, administrative, policy development, and risk management processes
- Ensure financial information is relevant, timely, accurate, and complete for decision-making purposes and to address existing and future community needs
- Coordinates annual audit preparation, reconciliation, and working processes with the auditors and identifies supporting documents, audit trails, and reports on significant financial implications
- Maintains and monitors financial budgets based on regulatory agreements, and communicates with all management
- Monitors contractual agreements and report submission requirements for key external funding agencies
- Builds financial models to support terms of new agreements and contracts, monitors budgets, and develops systems to track expenditures
- Thorough understanding of the payroll legislation process and requirements
- Provides advice, interpretation, and translation of conceptual financial agreements and other financial information and recommends sound investment opportunities
