GlassHouse Botanics Inc, a licensed Cannabis producer, is looking to hire a Cultivation Technician to work on our Cultivation Teams. Working under the direction of a Team Leader, Cultivation Team members will be performing tasks at different stages of the growing process from clone to harvest, to dry and packaging. Activities can include plant care, cloning, transplanting, pruning, trellis installation, defoliation, harvesting, trimming, packaging, sanitation etc.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Supporting plant related activities such as: transplanting, trellis installation, inspections, watering, and harvesting as directed by the Team Lead.
- Supporting sanitation related activities such as: cleaning of rooms, tools and other materials. This work can be physically challenging and requires you to work in tight spaces, on your feet all day, operating a pressure washer, or using a mop.
- Supporting Post Harvest duties such as: bucking (bud removal), trimming, packaging and sanitation.
- Communicate with Team members and Team Lead efficiently and in a timely manner when tasks are completed, or direction is required.
- Recording completed tasks to ensure traceability and compliance with regulations.
- Operate machinery as required (e.g., foamer, pressure washer, trimming and bucking machines)
- Inventory of plants as required.
- Strong ability to learn new techniques and follow direction

- Exceptional communication skills and ability to deal with all types of personalities
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to read, understand and follow the Cannabis Regulations and GlassHouse Botanics’ procedures.
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to work closely with others
- Experience within the industry and/or greenhouse environment is an asset, but not required
- Hands on experience with the plant is an asset, but not required
- Identify and diagnose molds/mildews, signs and symptoms of insect pests and plant deficiencies
- Complete cloning, seed propagation and plant maintenance, transplanting and trellis installation, harvesting (full cannabis life cycle)
- Learn about growing conditions and natural patterns of the cannabis plant
- Develop Leadership and Team Work skills that will be with you forever

**Job Specific Demands**: Applicants must be fit and able to lift 50 lbs comfortably. Applicants must be flexible to work variable shifts and have reliable transportation. Some tasks require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

**Our Environment**: Plants like heat and humidity. To be successful in this position you need to be comfortable working in an enclosed environment with high heat and humidity, and to comfortable wearing protective clothing, hair covering and other Personal Protective Equipment.
